At Hummus Bodega, both our San Francisco restaurant and our food truck are certified kosher under the supervision of Rabbi Shimon Margolin and Congregation Ahavath Israel.

It serves the food that is prepared at HUMMUS BODEGA Restaurant in San Francisco, which is also under my supervision, with the following standards & qualifications:

  1. All food items served are considered BISHUL ISRAEL
  2. All herbs & leafy greens are meticulously washed & checked by the Mashgiach
  3. All raw & processed food ingredients are checked consistently by the Mashgiach
  4. Pita is assumed to be NOT “PAT ISRAEL”, unless marked otherwise
    1. “PAT ISRAEL” & KEMACH YASHAN Laffa or Pita should be available upon request
  5. All meat, lamb & chicken are strictly “MEHADRIN / GLATT KOSHER” (NOT LUBAVITCH)
  6. The French Fries and Falafel are in the category of “BASARI / FLEISHIG”
  7. THE MEAT & CHICKEN FOR THE FOOD TRUCK IS PREPARED IN THE FOLLOWING MANNER:

    The raw chicken, lamb or meat could be accessed and prepared for cooking / serving ONLY in the presence of the Mashgiach

  8. All the Mashgichim in the Restaurant and the Food Truck are Shomrei Torah UMitzvot
  9. The Restaurant & the Food Truck are closed every Shabbat & all Yomim Tovim
